BACAR began the new year by constructing Birchstone Village in Madison, Tennessee. A long-time client is developing this 228-unit complex – First Cumberland Properties. This development will include a Clubhouse with a commercial kitchen, classrooms, a splash pad, a sports court, and a playground. Completion is expected by December of 2024.
Groundbreaking should begin shortly on a 238-unit apartment complex in Madison, Tennessee, for The Clear Blue Company. This project, known as Ben Allen Ridge, will feature an extensive network of greenways and walking trails complete with fitness equipment installed along the pathways. With a projected start of mid-summer 2023, a two-year construction duration is expected for this development.
Four projects have recently started for developer and long-time client, Hayes and Associates. Each of these projects is being built for THDA – Tennessee Housing Development Agency and includes:
- Hill Place Apartments in Sales Creek, Tennessee (64) units.
- Governor’s Place Apartments in Livingston, Tennessee (64) units.
- Purdy Place Apartments in Selmer, Tennessee, and Riverside Apartments in Chattanooga, TN (48) units.
Project completion for these four developments is expected in the first and second quarter of 2024.

Cave Mill Phase II: 184-unit apartment complex in Bowling Green, Kentucky, for Tommy Thompson
The Villages at Forest View: A rental community in Antioch, TN, consisting of 249 apartment units and 58 townhomes for VFV, LLC of Nashville, TN
