SUMMERFIELD PLACE

Construction is underway for the Summerfield Place apartments in Goodlettsville, TN.  This 39 unit project is a re-build for Schatten Properties after a fire completely destroyed the building last year.  This single building re-build includes a leasing office and a fitness center.  Thomas L. Anderson is the project architect.  

The expected completion is mid-November of 2021.

 

CAVE MILL PHASE II

Work has also started on Cave Mill Phase II in Bowling Green, KY for Tommy Thompson.  This project will have a total of 184 units consisting of seven (7) 24 unit garden style and two town home style buildings along with a clubhouse and a swimming pool. 

The anticipated completion date is August 2022.  AMR Architects Inc. is the project designer.

PEPE’S PIZZA

BACAR recently completed the re-construction of Pepe’s Pizza in Lebanon, TN.  

This building was completely destroyed during the tornadoes that ripped through Middle Tennessee in the early morning hours of March 3 of last year.  BACAR Constructors was the design-builder on the original facility 22 years earlier.  

The post tornado cleanup left the slab and one of the large freezers as the only reusable features.  Pepe’s moved to a temporary location as the ground up reconstruction began but continued to use the existing freezer unit on site as a vital part of their business. 

This 13,000 square foot re-build was performed in a design-build contract that included cold storage, dry good storage, 3 truck docks and office space.  

In February of 2021, just under one year since the building was destroyed, Pepe’s resumed operations at their original location. 

It was an honor to be a small part of the rebuilding of Middle Tennessee after the devastation from the storms of 2020. 

BACAR teamed with SSOE Group as their design-build partner on this project.

THE LANEY

Site clearing and installation of the construction entrance has started on The Laney in Augusta, GA.  

This 230 unit project for Southeast Capital Companies will feature two (2) three story garden style and six (6) 3 – 4 split apartment buildings.  

Amenities include a fitness center, swimming pool, pool cabana with an outdoor kitchen, a dog park and a dog wash.  GLA-ATL is providing the architectural and engineering services for this project.  

Project completion is expected in December of 2022.
